Recognised for its agricultural industry, situated on the north banks of the Murray River, Berri is home to one of Australia’s oldest wineries, Berri Estates Winery since 1918. Surrounded by almost 3,000 hectares of vineyards and orchards, you will also find a handful of award winning, boutique wineries including 919 Wines and Angove Family Winemakers. You can also experience premium handcrafted beers with the newest microbrewery Wilkadene Woolshed Brewery.

Did you know that 95% of South Australia’s citrus production comes from the Riverland? Why not sample local produce and head along to the Riverland Farmer’s Market held every Saturday morning. A few local favourites include Havenhand Chocolates, Illalangi and Nuts About Fruit.

For the young and young at heart Monash Adventure Park is a short drive away. Providing hours of fun for all ages, the park is free and features a Burmese rope bridge, wave bridge, mini basketball, flying fox and more!

If you are after a bit more adventure, being located so close to the Murray River, why not try your skills on the water? Hire a canoe for the day, book in for water skiing and wakeboarding or relax with a boat tour discovering the sights along the Murray River, be introduced to the stunning River wildlife. Visit a National Park and get active with a bush walk or find a quiet spot and try your luck at fishing!
